I was setting up a scheduled task and after entering the user name and password, I got the error below:
Error message: “0x80070005 Access is denied“. You do not have permission to perform the requested operation”.
I checked to ensure that the account had the appropriate permissions, including “Log on as a batch job” rights.
Looking at the event viewer gave a clue of what the issue was, “Wrong password“.
Solution: Check that you are using the correct password.
